Decadence
05:50
|
|||
12 apples in a bowl,
I'm wasting all of them,
I throw them into the air,
And walk away.
12.000 words in a pot,
I'm brewing a funny soup,
I'm feeding everyone,
They won't complain.
12.000.000 heads,
Jumping up and down,
I say hello and goodbye,
(And I really don't know why.)
12.000.000.000 fish in the sea,
Amazingly colored,
In the same way,
Attracting and distracting me.
Simmer down,
All is well,
There're still birds in the sky,
Still flowers in the sunshine.
Simmer down,
All is well,
The choir is still,
Singing these soothing melodies.
I'm the empire at the end of the decadent days.

Tin Gods
05:41
|
|||
It‘s been so long now,
Since I‘ve seen the sun,
Shining bright like,
These lights and colors,
Of our new messiahs.
But to me they look like,
Faceless actors,
In a nameless play,
Apostles of a brand new death, Today.
Oh tin gods we have sinned,
The sacred cow was skinned,
With gold and silver filled,
And on your face,
Her shiny golden eyes were pinned.
I almost managed to stand up,
In this play of the utmost absurd,
Tearing down these faces,
Smashing all those windows,
Scattering all those jewels,
In the streets,
In a dream,
In a dream.

Pinetrees And Oaks
05:19
|
|||
Floating away from here,
Strange fruits are hanging there,
From those wise old trees.
In the shades of those trees,
Time goes by,
So slowly.
Night falls down,
And water from the stream,
Washes her weary hands.
Wandered on ancient roads,
A shepherd spoke to me,
Under those wise old trees.
In the shades of those trees,
Time goes by,
So slowly.
Night falls down,
And words and dreams,
Are humming around me like bees.
As long as warm clouds will embrace me,
I will be sleeping and dreaming,
Of pinetrees and oaks,
And warm clouds will embrace me,
Untill the rain starts to wash away,
All of my thoughts.

Riverside Bar
06:54
|
|||
Danny‘s up in his mind,
Watching them lovely angles flying by,
Danny‘s up in the sky,
Smiling at everyone at first sight.
Grace is standing at the bar,
Watching the water pour into her glass,
Sweating all over the place,
Then feeling it in every pore of her face.
A flashing rush,
Of colorful air,
From her toes,
Up to her hair.
Oh I wish I was there!
Yeah you wish you were there!
But she was right there,
Right there, allright there.
Like Benjamin,
Who took the last bus to mars,
Headed out to fetch some stars,
And then walked along the harbour,
To the Riverside Bar.
But let‘s go back to the music,
To the ships magic turntable,
And gosh, she knows how to use it!
And lord, she knows how to fuse us!
A yelling from,
Beneath the bridge of boats,
Oh just good to know,
That this boat can‘t sink.
No we can‘t sink,
We can only drown,
We can only drown,
Or take of.
---
Danny‘s up in his mind,
He‘s floating on waves of singing sirens.
A scent of lilac,
hop and sweat,
Is dropping from the ship‘s deck,
A sweat and salty language.
Smiling at everyone,
He‘ll steer that boat,
Without any steering wheel.
