High and Dry
06:30
|
|||
Those broken branches
Beneath my feet
Broken in my memory
They startet bleeding
I tried not to believe
When the things melted
Cried and sang to me
I‘d already felt it
An empty road
A crowded street
An empty road
A crowded street
I could have run
I could have...
I could have run
I could have...
Walk steady
Fast but without speed
Through the streets
Of inhumanity
You could have asked me
About my apathy
I‘d would have answered
I‘d like to be
An empty road
A crowded street
An empty road
A crowded street
I could have run
I could have...
I could have run
I could have...
Hollowness
Of the real
I had to squeal you!
I had to kneel down
You could accuse me
Of disbelief
But I saw you naked
And I‘m in awe.

The Wheel
03:50
|
|||
Turn the wheel,
And read the signs,
And run, and drive and fly,
In planes so high,
Control the tickets,
On your way,
No time to waste,
To hesitate,
This crystal screens,
They shine,
They scream,
A message in repeat:
This will all come to an end!
This will all break down and bend!
This will all come to an end!
This will all change and transcend.
Seconds,
Minutes,
Hours,
Days,
Fly by,
Get born,
And live,
And die,
In everything,
In everyone,
At every time,
The moments gone,
Before,
You,
Even,
Realize,
This will all come to an end!
This will all break down and bend!
This will all come to an end!
This will all change and transcend.

One Equals Two
03:54
|
|||
Man in the mirror let me ask you,
Why can't I look into you,
As you seem to do,
Is it because I think I'm one,
Whereas you know that we are two,
Same eyes but different view,
The night became another day,
You and I,
So close,
So far away,
I've seen myself in me and you,
One equals two.
Is it because I think I'm one,
Whereas you know that we are two,
Same eyes but different view.

A Rat at the Ball
03:03
|
|||
Howlin' coyote,
In the dark of the night,
Back in the city,
A vision a sign,
That leads to a house,
With shimmering golden lights,
Bodyguards and fancy cars,
Outside,
Where you hide in a hedge,
Till you grab one of these suits by the neck,
And put him down to sleep,
In the shrubs,
To hide him,
There for the night,
As you‘re slipping inside,
Backsliding into the temple of light,
Greedy moths in the shine.
Have some champagne,
And some pretty talk,
Enjoy there puzzled faces,
As they start to realize,
That there‘s a rat at their ball,
That has eaten from their plates,
Has shaken pretty hands,
And has seen it all,
To witness all this fake bliss,
And to piss at their shrine,
No hiding not for this time,
Let this last dance be a wild,
One,
Two,
Three
And
One,
Two ,
Three,
For and,
….

Sisyphus
06:09
|
|||
Tell me why you roll that stone,
Up that mountain full of bones.
Some million there who tried the same,
The next round the same old game.
It‘s like a loop,
Always in repeat,
You take one big leap,
You fly, you fall, you break your feet,
And you‘re back on the same old,
Track.
Tell me why you feel so lone,
Sick and tired, scared to the bone,
You've lost control, you're falling down,
You curse, you cry, you‘re smiling now.
Life's like a loop,
Always in repeat,
Still you keep on creeping on,
Although there is no need.
It‘s like a loop,
And you‘re a beautiful being,
When plain absurdity becomes,
Your symphony,
Then you‘re back on this good old,
Track.
Like a loop,
Always in repeat...

Dreamliner
06:04
|
|||
When I found the letter,
I knew exactly what to do.
I packed only the most important things,
And went straight down to the harbor.
The City was sleeping,
Only the shipyards and docks,
Where sending out some muffled distant sounds,
Into the gloomy city sky.
Just a hint of a breeze in the air.
And then I saw the mysterious ship,
At the quay.
Like a wise old sleeping animal.
„Catching the last dreamliner“, I thought…
And went on board...
In your darkest deepest blue,
Let me drown into,
Every drop of ecstasy,
Comes in waves with you,
I‘ve been hiding for too long,
Trapped in concrete rooms,
Now shake me, burst me in the storm,
To myriad parts of me,
and
you.

New Sky
05:58
|
|||
Cranes in the new sky,
Are flying over paved fields,
Of the old sleeping harbor,
Graciously.
While the cranes at the quayside,
Are rusting silently.
And the wind keeps on breathing,
Forcefully.
I‘m walking past a merry-go-round,
Of a long abandoned playground,
In the far distance the noisy city,
Is screaming silently.
Where the people are too busy or too numb,
To even take a look around,
To get a glimpse of the new sky,
Before it‘s passing by.
Passing by.
